The Law Offices of A. G. Fortson, P.C. is soliciting nominations for our ‘We the People Award.’ The Award seeks to honor everyday citizens or organizations which endeavor to make America a great nation despite any perceived odds.
“Blemishes and struggles unfortunately seem to be among the first conjured thoughts of America. Our firm wanted to counter that image by honoring the greatness of our strong nation – the people,” said Alicia Fortson, the firm’s founding attorney. “Americans should be proud of our blessed country. Yes, we have our challenges, but our history reflects that great Americans stand up and creatively conquer challenges. The ‘We the People’ Award is meant to remind people of that history, to encourage people who are still fighting, and to inspire others to join in the fight.”
The award is taken from the U.S. Constitution’s Preamble which in part reads,
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
